Hello All!
This blog is to give friends, family and prayer warriors updates regarding Lisa's fight against breast cancer.
Here is the latest update:
Lisa had the minor surgery to get her port-o-cath installed on Monday 3/5/12. She will receive all her chemo treatments via this port. She has now received two chemo treatments, and will be receiving her third treatment week of 4/2-4/6. Lisa's hair began falling out quite noticeably last week so she made the decision to have her head shaved on Tuesday 3/27/12. Her sister Tina accompanied her, and Lisa is now wearing her wig which looks pretty darn good.
After her first chemo treatment she did have quite a bit of nausea, but is feeling better. On 3/31 she was in the hospital for a blood clot, but she received treatment and is now taking blood thinners to cure the clot.
Please pray for wisdom for the doctors and oncologists treating Lisa and for continued strength as she will be getting weekly chemo treatments too.
I had my third chemo treatment in the first round today. Was hard today miss katlyn's dr apppointment for the first time today. Mom and Tina drove down to dupont for her to have a MRI done on her. But when i was in the hospital last weekened for a blood clot they did A CAT scane off my chest and it showed one of the turmor is shrinking. I have two turmors One positive and one negative.
ReplyDeleteThis morning was hard. I was to tired to take Katlyn to our church egg hunt today. So my dad took her there. First egg hunt i missed with her. But the rest of the day is going to be fun. Shawn's parents are comming down from Bethlehem and is going to plant a garden outback for me and Katlyn. So it's going to be keeping Katlyn busy todat.Since she loves to be outside and playing in the dirt and getting dirty.
ReplyDeleteOn April 18th say the oncologist and we mesured the turmor and it shrunked from 17 cm to 5 cm. So my body is reacting to the treatment well. But since I was hospitalized from the blood clot my blood numbbers are down so is my potssium also. But since I have stopped working in the last two weeks. I don't feel as exhausted and tired like before. I can pace myself. SO today was last treatment for the first round of chemo. I start my second round of chemo on May 4th for tweleve weeks straight. Then the first week of August I will be having surgery to remove both breasts. Again I will not be working beging of the school year.
